Reef restoration project on 28 Apr to 1 May

My first pack-n-go trip.. first company overseas event with the big big bosses *grin*.. a relax and "well taken care of" trip.. minus the "poor” service from the dive operator was really enjoyable and fun.. a bag of snacks and freebies are placed in the room.. dry bag, cap, water bottle, underwater camera, towel, slippers, torch, pen, wetsuit, pareo, polo shirts, etc.. nice superior room.. 5 dives include 1 at the DHL reef (aquascapes from the last 2004 project and new extension).. beach clean up at SPC (keke with certification of recognition).. dinner parties at the beach front.. buggy rides.. etc..

Visibility was pretty good.. most ppl saw sharks and turtles in the first dive but i missed them.. never felt so slow and lazy while diving before.. keke.. but i had a great nite dive.. saw an octopus, different sizes of crabs, shrimps, 2 scorpion fishes side-by-side, 2 black sea slugs making out, porcupine fish, etc..

Another lucky thing is to meet and have dinner with the famous photojournalist, Michael Aw.. got him to sign on his book "tropical reef fishes" that was given free for all of us.. *grin grin*..

Flu again

Oh dear i'm falling sick.. flu and sore throat.. but i'm leaving for tioman tomorrow.. argh.. i must get well soon..

Kuantan LOB on 21-23 Apr

My first LOB (live-on-board) was great except for the "bites" as souvenir and lack of sleep.. really relaxing and enjoyable..

Nice boat.. great bunch of divers and crews.. nice dives except 1 with poor visibility.. great food (super fresh catch from the sea).. great weather..

Heard about this show last year.. at that time i was "crazy" chasing after japanese series by kimura.. so gave it a miss..

Recently it was broadcasted on channel u.. keke.. me and mom faithfully watched it every nite.. at a mahjong session at fren's place.. found them having the vcds so i borrowed from them.. the amazing thing is me and mom finish watching 33 dvds in 5 days =)

Since i need to work and bz with deployment.. i sacrificed my sleep to catch up.. 3am is my limit.. keke.. so a panda for 5 days.. well.. oso sacrificed chatting with my dear on weekend.. coz by the time i woke up is my dear's bedtime.. lucky i have a understanding bf.. tq dear *grin*..

First eCard

Surprised to receive an ecard from my dear.. first ecard.. can't hold my tears as i read further.. really touching.. very assuring and sweet.. miss u dear.. saved it to mdi as a proof for future "threat" *wink*.. nah just in case only =P.. my dear knows and will give what is best for me.. rite dear? =)

Campus Superstar

Yeh i'm one of the "fans".. not chee yang but the show.. watching these "kids" sing reminds me when i'm young.. used to dream of being a singer.. wana be pretty and famous.. keke.. but i never had the courage.. i remembered once i participated in a competition in JC.. was so "kan cheong".. so bad that i forgot my lyrics and i couldn't reach the high pitch.. was really stressed and upset.. so i'm amazed how these "kids" can juggle study and competition.. facing "rejections" and judgers comments.. hmmm maybe i can do it too.. set i shall try next year.. of coz not campus superstar.. keke dun think i can fit into school uniform..

Anyways my favourite is adriano.. so cute and i like the way he carries himself.. so is geraldine.. keke.. not bcoz our names are similar.. but rather i like her voice and she looks cool.. clara is pretty too.. renfred looks great when he dance.. blah blah blah.. but i think the important thing is we only young once.. it's really an experience.. so dun waste time and live life to the fullest.. ah.. dun think i have a lot more time to spare *pout*..

Dan Brown

Some time back last year i read his "the da vinci code" book.. a pretty "fat" book.. very few books can bring me to the ending.. coz i cannot keep my focus on words too long.. or maybe i cannot sit still for long.. keke.. but my dear kept encouraging me to read.. very interesting novel written on true places and paints.. even with illustrations.. having unexpected twists.. blah blah blah.. alright i trust my dear's taste.. and it got me hooked.. keke.. i made a guess on who is the mastermind before i finished reading.. and kept pestering my dear to tell me if i'm right.. really can't wait to know.. he din say.. but i can see from his expressions that i am right.. keke.. smart gal eh.. i really like this novel a lot.. for those who haven't been reading or keen on thriller with twists.. do read this book.. i can "lend" though it belongs to my dear.. just take care of it and dun lose it.. let me know eh.. for more info check it out at http://www.danbrown.com/secrets/bizarre_facts/davinci_code.html

Since then i haven't been reading.. and my dear has all his books.. today i found "angels & demons".. keke.. i even forgot that i read a few chapters (from where i placed the bookmark =P).. think my dear asked me to read this shortly after i finished with "the da vinci code".. this book "looks" thinner.. but both have about near 600 pages.. hmmm.. hopefully it is as interesting as "the da vinci code" or even better.. alright i'm set to read this..

Past 16 days were just like before.. eat or nua at home.. watch tv or anime.. shop at jb or ntuc.. catch up with some frens.. run abit.. etc.. nothing interesting but we are happy.. keke everyday we rushed to knock off on time to be together.. time really flies.. =(((

Already missing him even though he just left in the morning..

100km charity walk

We did this on 26-27 June 2004.. how time passed.. think raleigh society organizing this again.. but if i join i will be walking without my dear..

Remembered how "cham" we were then.. gathered before sunrise (think 5am can't remember clearly).. walked and talked and rest and this repeated countless times.. blisters everywhere on the feet.. muscles ached everywhere.. we gave up at about 60plus km.. think it was about 2 or 3am.. at pasir ris park.. gosh.. we were at a stage where one foot step was pain like hell.. lack of sleep and food.. but it was an experience.. how we held each other hands and endured together..

Another amazing and meaningful thing we did together.. keke..

Kuantan wreck dive on 21 Apr weekend

Another trip to look foward to.. counting.. 4 weeks to go.. my first LOB and first wreck dive.. really missed the sea.. think i din dive for 1 year and 8 months..

Looking back.. this 20 months were spent meaningfully and happily with my dear.. went egypt, US, canada, hong kong, malaysia.. trekked waterfalls, mountains, islands/beaches, sand dune, canyon etc.. did many runs.. 10, 21.1 and 42.195km.. glad to leave our footprints there and now thinking back.. i'm amazed by the places i went and the things i did.. but i'm "greedy".. looking at the world map.. there are still so many places i wana go with my dear.. mount everest base camp trek.. alaska.. japan.. spain.. france.. greece.. etc etc.. hopefully before these.. i can dive with my dear and experience the beautiful underwater.. with the dolphines, rays and sharks.. so romantic..

Difference

What is the difference between 2 weeks apart and 2 weeks together???

It's how we look at TIME.. feel that it passes really fast when we are together.. and really slow when we are apart..

Change of plan

My dear might be going back to san diego on thurs instead of mon.. good or bad ah?!?!

Should i go US and be taitai?? (at least for a few months).. hmm.. dunno is it a maid instead =P

Flu

Just recovered from flu.. had it on monday.. lucky to have my dear to take care of me.. but unlucky to have a major issue at work on monday as well.. managed to resolve it on tuesday nite.. i was really tired and felt feverish.. thank goodness i have great endurance.. trained and proven by completing marathon.. keke.. self praise is no praise.. anyways no ends yet.. upcoming are some key deployments.. ahhh.. so many things to do.. argh..

JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge

I signed up for the above run since company sponsoring again.. it's on 26 Apr 6pm.. alot of companies are joining.. hp, sybase, consulting firms, banks, govt bodies etc.. so excited..

To get a good timing, i went MacRitchie for a 6km run with friends.. the slopes were "killing" me.. but for the sake of jian fei and training.. i had to endure.. felt great when i completed =)

I must continue to clock my miles!!!

Tampopo

The above is a japanese restaurant name.. it's our favourite place.. serves yummie food and not expensive.. ramen, tonkatsu, sashimi.. this time they are serving shabu shabu for 2.. the broth is porridge base.. this makes the meat really smooth and soft.. *drool*.. veggies and shitakes are included.. when we are done.. tofu and eggs are provided.. actually we were wondering if we should "throw" them in.. well.. luckily the waitress served us.. she smashed the tofu and poured them in and stirred the broth slowly.. tasted like some dessert that is smooth and warms your heart.. it is really amazing how japanese "design" and not waste food..

Angus

We had set dinner at angus.. juz the 2 of us since he's back.. romantic but expensive *bleh*.. my dear had 300g tenderloin and grilled lobster for me.. *yum yum* both were very soft and tender *drool*

Busy week (4-12 mar)

This was a super doper bz week.. covering colleague who was on 1 week leave.. very frustrating week too.. harassed by irritating and stupid/lazy ppl.. argh.. glad that he will be back to work tomorrow..

"Quiet" weekend

My dear was out for biz trip at vancouver, washington and stopped over at san francisco to ski at lake tahoe over the weekend..

We have been chatting using skype on weekends.. so this was the only weekend we din chat.. well though it was a quiet and "dun-feel-good" weekend.. i had fun too.. met up with crankygal, duchess and hubby-to-be, and eileen and hubby (tq for the treat) for dinner at serangoon gardens on fri nite.. went blading at east coast on sat.. rest and nua at home on sun.. oh i brought mom out for dinner too.. at sake sushi..
