Hotdog for dinner

Missed the hotdog we had in paris near notre dame.. so bought baguette by delifrance, 4 hotdogs and mozzarella cheese.. tried to bake 1.. eehhh not too far from it but definitely not as yummie.. 1 was too much for me.. plus greedy me put lots of cheese and it was quite salty *grin*..

a movie directed and produced by edward zwick.. stars leonardo dicaprio.. it also refers to diamonds mined in war zones and sold to finance the conflicts.. how child soldiers grow up killing men.. how blood makes the earth red.. i'm one of those women who love diamonds.. love how it glitters.. where my diamonds are from.. who dug my diamonds.. was blood shed to smuggle it.. geee i'm having lots of mixed feelings when i look at my beloved now..

Aircon overhaul

Dunno if the weather too hot or the aircons broke down (mine and my folk's).. it's not cold anymore.. not even cooling.. it din even help with a fan.. still rem they are working fine before my wedding.. the heat has been killing me since we are back from honeymoon.. no choice but to hunt around.. gain city.. courts.. shop in toa payoh.. even consult crankygal on hers.. so after comparing the brands and packages.. we signed up with best tech.. toshiba inverter system 2.. actually there are a lot of details and things to watch out about aircon and installation.. the class of the insulator.. piping etc.. anyways.. too technical for me to understand how the whole thing works and to explain here.. but to save costs.. we decided on inverter over the compressor.. today is the day of installation.. it's so quiet and cold.. as compared to my window unit .. was so noisy before and i'm not used to the peacefulness.. hehe..

Sick and tired..

Hubby is sick and on 2 days mc.. tummy flu.. fever and cough.. i'm tired.. worked on issues on most sun and started work at 730am today for post implementation support.. having pms as well.. headache for 2 days liao.. wana sleep but can't sleep well.. aaaahhhhhhhhh..

Career dilemma

finally i have updated my resume with my current experience.. it's kinda tuff to put it into words to sell myself.. this triggered me to ponder on what kind of job i wana pursue next.. do i wana be a manager.. middle mgt is quite sucky to be in.. in between the higher mgt and the ppl who do real work.. do i wana find a 9-5 easy-life job.. in case i wana be "promoted" last min so that i have more free time and less affected by work.. but i will get bored easily.. this current job is a very challenging job and yet i'm already bored in my 2nd yr.. do i wana try something non-IT.. hmmm hmmm maybe i should be open about it.. but will i get employed since i dun have any experience.. maybe i should stay at where i am now since i have "hopped" so many times.. near 9 yrs and this is my 5th job.. but can i close one eye and dun bother about what happens at work.. should i start my own business.. can i accept failure.. can i take it when my money has gone to the drain.. i have to start thinking hard.. i really hope that hubby will be relocated to US soon so that i can have a short term taitai-hood.. but this is definitely not in the near future.. wat should i do.. wat do i want.. wat's wrong with me.. is this mid-life crisis.. or it's just that i'm not contented enuff..

Cards and papers..

i'm amazed by the number of credit cards i had and have now.. citibank, uob, dbs, ocbc, hsbc, stand chart and amex.. lazy to count those i have cancelled.. now i have 2 from citibank.. 5 from uob.. 5 from dbs.. 1 from amex.. it took me whole day to sort the bills out and pack them nicely according to banks.. next was my insurance, cpf and savings.. another big stack of account statements.. i must go paperless soon else no more space to keep all these.. guess wat i dug out next.. cheque books.. total of 13 books.. OMG.. i din even rem i had soooo many of them.. so i went online to check.. i actually have 4 credit lines.. goodness.. these are the results from all the phone sales by the banks.. it's so easy for them to outsource and get the agents to call the customers.. and application of cards is effortless.. all you need to do is to sign and fax back.. hehe.. guess i'm a great customer.. so long its free i wont reject..

Dinner @ Akashi

Early celebration of mother's day.. brought mom to akashi at tanglin shopping centre.. coz i craved for jap food.. not any other jap restaurant as i'm worried mom's taste bud has yet to recover from hokkaido trip.. hehe.. it takes time to adjust back once you had jap food in japan.. somehow the jap food here will taste yucky.. i must say the standard is pretty good here.. we had ebi miso, asari chilli clams, chawanmushi, california reverse maki, assorted sashimi and niku inaniwa udon.. all yummie except the clams.. maybe it tasted like normal zhicha food.. so not tat impressive.. anyways.. mom simply love the food here.. it's my dear's favourite place too.. go try it.. ichiban..

I was glued..

to my dear's machine for a wk.. hehe.. watching jdramas continuously.. took breaks for jogging and bathing.. ate dinner and watched at the same time.. stopped when dead tired.. this is me when my dear not around.. so i finished watching 6 ep of kekkon dekinai otoko (the man who cant get married) and 11 ep of hana yori dango 2 (boys before flowers).. lucky no space and no more nice drama.. else i will glued and will not blog.. this reminds me when i was "chasing" after da chang ji.. hehe.. tat time i always slept at 2 or 3 am.. juz couldnt stop when the scene gets 紧张..

Hanging out..

at touraco's place, the esparis.. supposed to have picnic but ah lian has to meet in-laws for dinner.. so we brought forward and had lunch instead.. her home is really spic-and-span.. a good idea to engage part-time "maid" to clean the house weekly.. ah lian and family were late.. lucky our host had our lunch ready.. else we prob starved while waiting for kfc to be delivered.. bb iain so adorable.. he has such a charming smile.. he can sit and crawl now.. jump very well too.. love to look at himself in the mirror.. he sleep without pacifier and doze off easily.. such an obedient boy.. simply love to carry and play with him.. managed to see touraco's wedding fotos.. eh i must say.. a lot of albums.. 2 for fotoshot.. 1 for rom.. 2 for actual day.. coincidentally ah lian brought her wedding video (dvd) and fotos (cd) for me.. so me, touraco and her hubby watched the video together.. these weddings were 2 yrs back.. time really really flies.. from our uni days to graduation.. from working to getting married.. from ah lian's pregnancy to now bb iain is exactly 8 mths old.. 时间你可以放慢你的脚步吗..

My dear left for US..

on biz trip for 2 weeks.. 6 to 19 may.. wanted to follow but too last min for me to apply leave.. wanted to meet in tokyo on 18 may.. but i find 5 days too short for me.. hehe i know.. i'm back from honeymoon for less than a mth.. but i'm dying to go for another long holis.. maybe it's time to move on..

A day out @ the zoo

Have been wanting to go singapore zoo with my dear as we have visited zoo in seattle and san diego but not here.. booked the corporate pass for free admissions.. invited mk, her sis and niece along since it allows 4 adults admission.. the weather was great.. sunny in the morning and cloudy in the afternoon.. we were there from 10:30am to 4pm..

Took our time slow.. observed the animals in details.. behaviour and body.. these animals are so pitiful to be closed in such small area.. different from their original habitat.. stay in a hot and humid weather.. penguin, manatee and sea lion section is closed for renovation.. wonders of the wild show was disappointing.. but i had fun.. playing with mk's niece.. discussing weird questions about the animals when we observed them.. observing animals during their feeding time..

I will try to book wild wild wet pass for jun.. next outing to look forward *grin*.. hehe think my dear will not be keen..

Venice 2-5 Apr

A place where there are no traffic lights, round-abouts, trains, cars, only bridges, boats and gondolas.. we had our most relax time here.. walked and ate a lot.. gelato, pizzas and pastas.. we paid for a shared bathroom stay and lucky to be upgraded to a big room with attached bathroom and balcony.. felt very safe and carefree.. a must-go city..

Paris in 1 day

We were back to paris late as we spent quite some time trying to find the d-day beaches.. so it was drizzling and 1 hr to closing time when we reached.. we hurriedly followed thru the route and snapped pics quickly.. actually i was quite bored after seeing a few chateaus.. but this is the only one with a huge and pretty garden.. lucky the rain has stopped when we were strolling in the garden.. rays shining thru the clouds.. so pretty.. hehe but the way back to paris city to find a petrol station and return the car was scary.. rush hr traffic in the city is horrendous.. drivers were impatient and navigating in the 5-lanes round-about is tricky..

Ages since i last do picnic.. after reading touraco's blog.. i miss the time we (ah lian as well) met up for picnics at botanic garden whenever there is a jazz concert.. we will buy or prepare food and wine.. laze and gossip anything under the sky till dark.. den we were still single.. now we are all married.. hehe got them mark the calendar.. we will meet up on the 1st wkend of may.. after touraco back from biz trip.. so excited.. it will be fun as we have a new member.. bb iain.. a real charming boy.. i wana see him crawl and roll on the grass and how he charm all the ppl out there.. counting down..

are ex in sg.. abt 4-6 bucks for a small box.. hehe.. we had quite-a-big sweet-and-juicy box at 1.5 euro and 1kg of sour and not-so-sweet and not-so-nice-looking bag at 1 euro at barcelona la boqueria market.. of coz on diff day.. we had so much that we were kinda sick of it and had to throw some away.. hehe.. 1 kg is definitely not little..

Some notes from honeymoon trip

1. No stamp of custom clearance in paris and we were lost.. trying to confirm this is ok.. i din wan us to get caught of illegal entry to country at the start of our honeymoon.. hehe.. took some time trying to find hertz and the rented car.. we got a hybrid car.. toyota prius..

2. Roads are narrow in france (loire valley and normandy) and driving in paris is crazy.. cars are packed and close to each other.. roads are complicated and u will get lost even with gps.. we had a hard time trying to find a petrol station in paris central.. if u are not daring enuff dun drive!.. however the countrysides in france and uk are scenic and smell great.. definitely worth trying..

3. Flight to rome on 2 apr was cancelled due to technical fault.. lucky we picked venice instead.. else dunno wat will happen to us.. heard there were fights at the football match in rome as well (police and the man u fans).. it probably quite chaotic there..

4. We packed the lightest so far.. each about 7 kg plus.. just change of 2 tops and 1 bottom.. 1 set of sleepwear.. toiletries and slipper.. so that we can carry and go.. esp after car return in paris and london.. we can oso save some $.. checking in baggage at ryan air is not free.. hehe definitely diff honeymoon from others.. it's impt to watch your pockets and bags tight.. these ppl are so skillful that u wont feel anything and in a blink all your valuables are gone.. i guess we asian have a "pls-rob-me" face.. kekeke..

5. I "fainted" on our way to football match in barcelona.. thanks to sangria.. a super doper strong drink we had for dinner.. lucky just after the man left the train whom we suspected as pickpocket.. the train was warm and i couldn't see anything.. so we got out of the train and i rested on the bench.. lucky i was fine after that and still enjoyed the match :)

6. Building of sagrada familia still on-going.. dunno when it will b completed.. hopefully it's done when we bring our kids there.. i actually felt sad about gaudi's death.. he's such a genius..

7. Football match in europe is a must-watch.. esp barcelona as nou camp is the biggest in europe and fans are passionate..

8. Full english breakfast in uk is a must-eat.. tasty and filling.. roast duck in london too.. oily, juicy and tender..

9. Hotdog in paris near notre dame is a must-eat.. so cheesy and tasty..

10. Gelato in venice is yummie too but i think it's not too far from gelare.. fish soup is a must-eat.. it's better than spaghetti..

11. Never schedule shopping on sunday.. all the major shops are closed.. only managed to shop at zara but i have oni 15 mins to browse and try.. hehe coz we were on our way to the bus terminal for airport transfer.. totally no time in paris as we were running thru all the major POIs under the 2-days museum pass.. i dunno whether my dear purposely or not.. or just me no luck for shopping.. harrods and m&s etc were closed on easter sunday.. ah lian was "screaming" in yahoo tat i have changed.. well not quite.. havent been a shopping person for ages.. so din really feel anything abt this..

I'm back..

The warm and humid weather is killing us.. and we have to stay in the aircon room most of the time.. i missed the cooling, dry and sunny days we had in europe.. supper outside at kopi thiam was unbearable.. this is 1 of the things i hate it here.. *pout*.. of coz i missed my fishball soup and the local food here.. the chinese food we had in europe was at chinatown in paris and london.. wantan noodle soup (chicken rice for my dear) and roast duck noodle (rice for him).. yum yum.. big portion and tasty.. of coz ex oso.. think 4 or 5 euro and pound respectively.. definitely taste diff from here.. *drool*..

Full english breakfast..

was wat we had for 3 mornings (including today).. 2 from b&b at the farm stay and 1 here in hilton.. it includes sausages, egg, bacon, toast, tomatoes, mushrooms, coffee, cereal, yogurt and juices.. these lasted us till late afternoon.. so far was the best meal for the world trip.. escargot and croissants in paris still our favourite.. paella in barcelona was not that great.. still prefer japanese rice.. sangria almost "knock" me out.. even my dear cannot take too much of it.. spaghetti in venice.. yummie.. esp the fish soup.. *drool*..

Yosh..

we are now enjoying the sunset in london from the executive lounge at the hilton canary wharf.. it's gorgeous.. we redeemed a free night stay and got upgraded to the executive guestroom.. with free access to the executive lounge for free snacks, drinks (including beers/wines/liqueurs) and internet for all time.. breakfast for 2 as well.. so lucky and we are so glad to end our honeymoon with such treatment.. hehe in a blink we are flying home tomorrow.. time just passes by so quickly.. we are now walking in london city.. it seems like yesterday when we just had our wedding.. really dun feel like going back to work.. geeeeeee.. my dear beloved hubby can i just quit and be taitai????.. plssssss.. *pout*..

Caving..

in gough's cave at cheddar caves and gorge was really exciting and interesting.. we were crawling thru really tiny holes and crevasses (hehe my dear managed to squeeze thru.. i was worried he may get stuck =P) and climbing up and down the ladders.. some parts involved near vertical head first crawls.. the chambers were huge and cooling.. very dark and "muddy".. too bad no pics as no cameras allowed.. really not for claustrophobia.. i doubt i will ever go caving again.. i had bruises now on my knees and i was "stressed" by my dirty hands, legs and body.. luckily everything was provided but still the thought of crawling with my bare hands in the "mud" again freaked me out.. definitely a good experience with a cost of 16 pounds per pax.. no more mulu caves in my to-do-list.. yuckssssss..

Hola...

Finally i can access the internet.. we are at barcelona now and leaving for venice later..

Everything happened pretty fast and we are now half way thru our honeymoon in europe.. the wedding was great minus a few minor hiccups.. thanks to my dearest crankygal as the main coordinator.. muikian, jiawei, seowwen, weiling, tianlong and janet who helped out in the morning and lunch.. as well as kellin and kat.. we had a "special" solemnization as the JP is my folks' friend from bishan cc.. our guests were punctual and fun.. the day before we were still busy with the trip booking and packing.. as well as last min wedding prep (esp the montages).. now we have seen chateaus in loire valley, abby on mont st-michel and d day beaches from world war 2 at normandy.. paris.. barcelona.. famous of gaudi works and football match at the nou camp (fc barcelona vs deportivo).. the 3 months effort for the wedding and honeymoon really pays off..

So far we are lucky.. almost got pickpocket for past 2 evenings.. 1 in the train on our way for football match.. 1 at subway.. this one was scary and it happened in a blink.. if he succeed i would have lost my camera.. we saw them walk out in a hurry.. young chaps.. the person behind saw everything but din tell us until they walked away.. i was still in shock when we back to the hostel.. drive trip in france was great too.. just a few kisses of the curbs and 1 of the hub cap dropped at amboise.. lucky the man from hertz din spot any.. the view was scenic.. greeny and vast..

I had fun at the football match.. 1st time was in singapore.. a boring game and i was dying to go home.. this time since we din manage to get tickets for game in london we paid 48 euro per pax for fc barcelona.. i actually watched the game hoping to see a goal.. the stadium was huge and packed with ppl.. the atmosphere was exciting and "loyal".. supporters were cheering hard for fcb (barca), messi and ronaldino.. final score was barca 2 deportivo 1..

Alright have to end here.. will try to blog if i have access again.. meanwhile we will watch our pockets tight and venice here we come..

We pick this over Chateau du Guerinet after many days of comparing and researching.. this chateau has won Best Hidden Gem (world and europe), Best Bargains (europe) and Best for Romance (world and europe) from tripadvisor's 2006 travelers' choice.. dinner will be provided at 48 euro per pax with minimal 8 pax.. i hope there will be enough guests for that night.. looking forward..

We have been busy with accommodation researching and booking.. itinerary planning.. some highlights are as follows:

1. chateau stay in loire valley with dinner and breakfast (255 euros and i'm still thinking..)
2. mont saint michel and D day beaches
3. farm stay in uk

Will be renting car in paris and road trip to loire valley and mont saint michel.. 2 days rent is more ex than 3 days.. weird.. same for london.. 2 days rent and road trip to southern wales.. hehe.. our budget is getting more and more with all these special stay.. *stress*.. anyway.. need to settle all by this week..

Had my last fitting last evening.. hehe din lose much.. so sad.. but EG will be altered.. slimmer waist :P.. it keeps dropping.. album reviewed and will be ready on friday.. my MUA cannot make it at 630am.. need to sort out the actual day schedule.. montage still on the way.. haven't decide on match in songs.. geeee still plenty to do.. OMG..

Itinerary

After few days of searching and researching we have fixed on the cities that we are going in 2 weeks.. between rome and venice we picked venice.. we dropped geneva bcoz of the limited time and ex flights.. the budget airlines (ryan and easyjet) fares kept increasing since last week.. its complicated and tedious to find and compare fares and routes.. but still my dear managed to sort all out.. thanks dear *pat*.. about 300 euro in total.. accommodation is next.. goodness the rates are even more scary.. peak season.. spring and easter *pout*.. kinda tedious oso.. as i need to check the location, rates and reviews of the hotels.. hmm mayb it's better to join tours.. but i dun think so.. still fun to do free & easy despite of all the troubles.. flexible and interesting esp when we got lost :P.. geeezzz i'm getting excited..

Honeymoon

Yippie.. after sourcing high and low for cheap air tickets and package tours for so long.. we have booked sin-paris london-sin by emirates for 2 at 2426.. depart 26 mar 12:30am and return 8 apr 8:30pm..

Was considering qatar at zuji and emirates online.. the flight schedules are not so ideal.. emirates online is better.. luckily i have been lazy and indecisive.. keep delaying on the purchase.. last weekend we went suntec to check out sa tours, chan brothers and asa holidays.. so crowded and super long queue.. we gave up.. then later at night found out that chan brothers was offering 750 fare by emirates at the suntec fair.. geeeee was quite disappointed.. then i found this fare from misa travel on wed.. booked sin-paris-sin online on wed night and next day the fare was increased to 780.. luckily my booking locked the earlier fare.. after many queries and verifications we changed the outbound to london-sin.. the airport tax is ex.. difference about 180.. but to reduce traveling time we decided on this itinerary.. so excited.. think more excited over my honeymoon than the wedding :P.. but more planning to do.. itinerary, accommodation, car rental, etc etc.. another 2 weeks *grin*..

Clash

well.. this 24th mar must be an auspicious day.. we are having service centre move.. call centre application major upgrade.. pabx upgrade.. so most of my colleagues won't be able to attend.. so sad but still i will appreciate those who can turn up..

It's ready and took us about 2 hrs plus to select our 25 pics.. hehe no extra pics.. it's either get extra 10 pics and negotiate better price or none.. somehow after many rounds of viewing (lost count) we decided to keep to the given.. well.. personally just not used to how i look after the makeup and styling.. dun think i look good.. so anyways.. i may appreciate it when i grow much older :P

another task down.. we are glad to have mk as our mei ren.. accompany and help him carrying some stuffs.. she went trekking with us on separate trip to pelepah.. with him on vday with xtrekkers and 2 weeks later with me and another gang.. so technically speaking she knew us both when we first met.. and so coincidentally we all work at alexandra.. hehe we often meet up for lunch.. or should i say my dear always make effort to arrange lunch *grin*..

my mom invited the relatives and cooked lunch.. we have prima deli sliced cakes and cans of pig trotters.. 12 boxes.. 2 vsop.. 12 oranges with xi stickers..ang baos and etc.. only went bedok south and north to pass invitation cards.. all and all.. everything went smooth and nice.. *peace*..

Printing in process..

Yeah.. we have printed invites for our folks.. hehe red wordings for red cards.. so not tat tuff.. now test print for our frens.. tried many colors.. few colors are suitable for the insert paper color and card design.. lavender, peach, pink, lilac, sky blue etc.. finally we have decided on 1.. really sweet and soft *grin*.. but this is not done yet.. still need to tie ribbon on all these cards *pout*..

Busy day

Wash car.. reunion lunch with his family.. pack his room.. reunion dinner with mine.. bz bz bz..

Pre CNY eve

A simple dept kickoff with lao yu sheng and bites.. half day work.. felt terrible on my way home.. napped until mom woke me up.. have been sick since last fri.. accompanied her to buy meat for shabu shabu steamboat for reunion dinner.. packed my room after dinner with my dear's help.. done in 3 hours.. cleared as much as possible so that i have less things to pack when the new bed is delivered.. it has a storage space underneath.. hehe i will juz "dump" all those things lying outside inside *grin*..

Fotoshoot

First was outdoor shoot at old parliament house.. we were giggling hard over the poses requested.. hehe the fotographer was trying hard to make us look natural.. the weather was super hot!.. so hot tat our eyes can hardly open.. next was marina pier.. never been there.. the building and sea view are gorgeous.. it looks like the yokohama pier in japan.. with greeny on top for ppl to relax and enjoy the view.. next was st theresa church.. den back to shop to change to kua.. and set off to temple.. somewhere near ex-mos.. the carvings here are really nice.. dragons tat look real.. den set off to studio to take my gown and evening gown.. had 2 different looks.. goodness it hurts so much when makeup artist "breaks" the "sprayed" hair for style change.. worried abt the amount of hair lost here *sob*.. den set off for outdoor again.. eaton and labrador park.. we wanted to take the sunset from the top corner "bridge-like" place for shooting.. but we found a couple there.. the guy actually do up the place with balloons and candle lights.. roses on the organza over the table and chairs.. prepared food, fruits and champagne.. so romantic.. we cant help but ask if we can take pics with the settings.. hehe.. really nice props.. but.. the sun was hidden behind the thick clouds.. so disappointed.. den we went down for the seaview shoot.. finally the last stop.. well.. it was tiring but we had fun today.. giggled and laughed alot.. definitely a special vday for us..

Fights..

not with my man but with my mom.. dunno it's different expectations or over concern or juz bei gam.. not juz over the wedding prep.. even when we were traveling in bali.. ahhhh.. i have to be calm.. volcanoes have erupted.. dun wana have another eruption.. getting upset over my wedding and her "jia-nu-er" thingy.. making both us unhappy and grumble for the rest of our life.. thanks touraco for your advice.. i will try your method and see if it works on my mom *wink*..

Trial makeup and first fitting session

I have forgotten when was the last time i "painted" my face.. hehe.. somehow i felt weird.. juz not me.. my dear too.. cant get used to how i look.. keke mayb too pretty liao *grin*.. gee wonder how i will look on the actual day and fotoshoot.. cant imagine!

Well.. to cut the story short.. we had tuff time finding a bridal studio tat we are comfy with.. 1 from someone i know.. super hard selling and sells only fotos.. refused to let us go if we dun sign it right away.. 1 from high class designer type.. juz too ex to deal with.. dun have a chance to try the pretty gowns as the fitting room was occupied.. 1 at marina square.. tat man was loitering outside waiting while we were shopping for bed.. quite hard sell but we juz cant imagine an uncle helping us to choose gowns.. 1 operates like designer but still not there yet.. quite "stingy" to let me try gowns.. and was a bit upset when my dear commented that the gown was "squeezing" out my fats.. 1 where the place was cosy but my dear din find a gown he likes.. so we picked ritz couture.. 1 who let us in even it was closed.. letting me try so many gowns and explaining patiently on the package and wedding preparation till late night.. we were so comfy wif the people and the place was really cosy.. i must say we prefer service to cost.. really make us feel money worth paying for.. make us feel like prince and princess..

So after trying at the bridal for 3 times.. finally i have picked my gowns.. was really difficult decision.. simply love most of the gowns here.. elaine has been sooo patient.. spending 3 late nights with us.. there are gowns that i even tried for 4 times.. hehe juz to compare and decide.. so here they are.. hehe i must say i live up the name of tiffanygal.. even my evening gown is so "tiffany".. my fav color!

Our wedding day

It will be a customary, solemnization and banquet lunch at marina mandarin vanda ballroom.. all-in-one-day thingy.. had a discussion with the banquet sales and finalized on most of the details.. the wedding preparation has been less stressful with these experienced people whom i met.. helping and advising us.. even comforting us.. making us feeling more at ease and relax..

We decided to do our own insert printing.. to customise and make use of my dear's expertise.. finally our design is completed.. simple and varies for different people.. gosh we still need to print.. dunno how long to print my invites name by name.. *stressed*.. oh well thou it's tedious but we are happy doing it.. joint effort.. it's really great to compliment each other.. really fortunate to have my dear around for shopping and hunting for banquet, bridal, bed, etc..

We have also set on going great britain and paris for honeymoon.. but the air ticket hunting has been confusing.. either no miles accrual or long transit or lost in the different permutation of destinations.. dunno if we shd try sin-paris-london-sin or sin-glasgow-london-sin or sin-glasgow-paris-sin or etc etc.. arghhh..

So far these are wat we were bz with.. forgot about the bed hunting experience.. it's amazing wat we found out abt king koll.. different departmental stores have own branding and exclusive models.. it took us a week to decide on 1.. hehe a week of sleeping on all different models and type.. finally we bought king koll king size memory foam pocketed spring mattress. memory foam pillows.. headboard and storage.. egyptian cotton satin 500 thread counts bedsheets.. never tot tat buying a mattress, bed and bedsheets can be such a chore.. goodness..

Meet-the-family dinner

Thanks touraco, crankygal, duchess and ah lian.. time flies and i'm over 30s.. an age tat i felt a great difference in my body and mind.. definitely not as fit as before.. but i guess it's juz the rite time to take things easy and enjoy every moments..

To make the day special.. we have arranged a meet-both-family over a dinner.. to celebrate my bday and to discuss about our wedding.. guo da li and actual day traditions.. yippie 1 to-do-list down!

Nissan Sunny 1.5 manual.. 5 yrs plus.. hehe my dear is still trying to get used to driving manual car.. out of touch for 1 yr plus liao.. poor me.. always having motion sickness when he drives :P.. keke actually only took 2 rides so far *grin*..

Lembongan, bali

I managed to get my dear and folks to go snorkeling while i dive.. hehe.. it was their first time.. the guide was so kind to "pull" them around.. so fortunate.. while they were fascinated by the school of fishes.. i was bored.. din see any spectacular stuffs.. dm was slow and lazy.. showing me stuffs that i already seen before.. frankly speaking i saw more at tioman.. anyways.. first dive was irritating as my mask always flooded with water (used so much air to clear mask *pout*).. current was strong.. so my air was down to 50 instead of my usual 100 for about 45mins dive.. hehe i actually swapped mask with my dad :P.. so no more floods but second dive was chilling and vis was bad.. so cold that i was shivering.. goodness.. never experience this before.. cold and nothing to see! anyways i will be back for the mantas and molas one day.. arghhhh.. but dun get the wrong idea.. actually i enjoyed myself.. and glad my dear and folks get to see the beauty of the underwater world *grin*..

Well it was my first time and i really enjoyed it.. so relaxing and comfy.. so good that i din wana move after it.. juz wana head back to hotel and sleep *grin*.. my folks were at the other room giggling.. hehe.. their first time too.. skin felt so smooth and nice.. definitely a good scrub..

after "disappearing" for slightly more than a month.. well was bz with work.. bz with trip preparation.. bz spending time with my dear.. keke of coz.. kinda lazy to blog.. anyways.. stay tuned as i will slowly catch up on my backlogs :)
